A new DoubleTree by Hilton will soon join Milan’s hospitality landscape, right inside Linate Airport. The project — a collaboration between SEA Milan Airports, COSTIM (ChorusLife Linate) and HNH Hospitality — is set to open in the first half of 2028 and represents a major step in the evolution of the Linate Airport District, one of the city’s most ambitious urban redevelopment projects.

A four-star hotel designed for modern travelers

The DoubleTree by Hilton Milan Linate Airport will feature 216 contemporary rooms, including nine suites, many with views over Idroscalo Lake, the green heart of the area.

Facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant, meeting and conference rooms, a fitness center, and lounge areas designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers.

The property will be directly connected to the airport terminal and just a few steps from the M4 metro line, which links Linate to San Babila in only 15 minutes. Designed by Studio Tectoo with interiors by Studio Marco Piva, the hotel combines contemporary architecture with the comfort and elegance that define Hilton’s brand worldwide. Management will be handled by HNH Hospitality, one of Italy’s leading independent hotel groups.

A sustainable vision for Milan’s eastern gateway

The hotel is part of a broader redevelopment initiative known as the Linate Airport District (LAD), a project that aims to transform the airport area into a vibrant, sustainable urban hub.

The LAD will include 25,000 m² of new offices and services, 14,000 m² of public green areas and plazas, and 10,000 m² dedicated to the hotel, with a total investment exceeding €130 million.

The development will integrate smart energy systems and pursue LEED and WELL certifications for environmental sustainability. Once complete, the district will also host the new SEA headquarters and new facilities for ENAC, creating a synergy between airport infrastructure, business functions and community spaces.

A new benchmark for airport hospitality

Once open, the DoubleTree by Hilton Milan Linate Airport will set a new benchmark for airport hospitality in Italy — combining convenience, design and sustainability with the reliability of an international brand.

With its proximity to both the terminal and city center, the hotel will cater to a new generation of travelers seeking efficiency without compromising on comfort — making Linate not just a place of transit, but a destination in its own right.
