CES Unveiled Milan 2026 will bring a one-day preview of CES 2027 to Milan on October 21. The event at Allianz MiCo will put European startups, emerging technologies, investors and industry leaders in the spotlight before the main CES takes place in Las Vegas.
For travelers and technology fans, however, there is one essential detail to understand before making plans: CES Unveiled Milan is not open to the general public. It is a trade-only event for people aged 18 or older who are affiliated with the consumer technology industry.
Can tourists attend? Not simply as tourists. Registration is live, but the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) states that it will verify industry affiliation. Friends, family members and children will not be admitted. Do not book a trip around the event until your registration has been accepted.

What Is CES Unveiled Milan?
CES Unveiled Milan is part of the Road to CES, a series of international events leading to CES 2027. It is not a smaller public version of the Las Vegas show. The Milan edition is a focused business event designed to connect European innovators with investors, media, policymakers and other technology professionals.
The CTA says the event will bring together hundreds of industry leaders, innovators, investors, government officials and media representatives. Exhibits are expected to feature European startups working in areas including aerospace, artificial intelligence, agricultural technology, digital health and luxury technology.
Milan is particularly relevant to that mix. The city combines design, manufacturing, finance, fashion and luxury with a growing startup ecosystem. One scheduled panel, “Made in Italy, Reimagined,” will look at how Italian companies can combine traditional craftsmanship and industrial expertise with new technology.
Is CES Unveiled Milan Open to the Public?
No. The official terms describe CES Unveiled Milan 2026 as a trade-only event. To be eligible, a registrant must be at least 18 years old and affiliated with the consumer technology industry. The CTA also says that registration information will be used to verify that affiliation.
- Technology professionals: use the attendee registration route and provide accurate company and professional information.
- Journalists and eligible media professionals: use the separate media application linked on the official event page.
- Exhibitors and startups: follow the exhibitor or pitch competition application process rather than registering as a casual visitor.
- Tourists and tech enthusiasts without an industry connection: should not expect to receive a badge solely because they are interested in the event.
The distinction matters because the event page displays a “Register Now” button, which can make it look like anyone can buy a ticket. The eligibility terms are more specific: submitting a form is part of a professional registration process, not a guarantee of admission.
What to Expect at CES Unveiled Milan 2026
The current schedule combines conference sessions in the morning with an exhibition floor, mentoring, partner programs and a startup pitch competition in the afternoon.
- 9:30 a.m.: opening keynote from the CTA.
- 9:45 a.m.: presentation on technology trends shaping the road to CES 2027.
- Morning: discussions on funding European innovation, the future of Made in Italy and frontier technologies such as AI-powered healthcare, biotechnology, robotics, advanced manufacturing, space, quantum computing and climate tech.
- 12:55–5:00 p.m.: expo floor.
- 1:00–3:00 p.m.: mentorship round tables for founders.
- 3:40–4:55 p.m.: CES Unveiled Milan Pitch Competition.
- 5:00–7:00 p.m.: winner announcement and networking reception.
The pitch competition is one of the clearest links to the main CES. Its winner receives exhibition space in Eureka Park, the startup area at CES 2027 in Las Vegas. The published Milan schedule still contains sessions marked “TBD,” and the 2026 speaker lineup has not yet been announced, so check the official schedule again before attending.
CES Unveiled Milan vs. CES Las Vegas: What Is the Difference?
| CES Unveiled Milan 2026 | CES 2027 in Las Vegas | |
|---|---|---|
| Dates | October 21, 2026 | January 6–9, 2027 |
| Format | One-day regional preview | Four-day main CES |
| Scale | One venue, selected exhibitors and conference sessions | 12 official venues across three campuses and more than 2.5 million net square feet of exhibit space |
| Primary focus | European startups, investment, scaling and regional innovation | The full global technology landscape, from startups to major international brands |
| Public access | Trade-only; not open to the general public | Trade-only; not open to the general public |
| Best suited to | European founders, investors, media, policymakers and industry professionals | Professionals seeking the broadest possible CES exhibition and conference experience |
The Milan event should therefore be seen as a concentrated preview and networking opportunity, not a replacement for Las Vegas. It offers a more manageable look at selected European innovation, while the main CES covers the entire technology ecosystem on a much larger campus.
Both events share the same important restriction: neither is a consumer fair where anyone can purchase admission at the door. The main CES also requires attendees to be 18 or older, prove a connection to the consumer technology industry and meet the requirements of their registration category.
How to Get to Allianz MiCo for CES Unveiled Milan
CES Unveiled Milan will take place in the South Wing of Allianz MiCo, beside the CityLife district. The event organizer identifies two entrances:
- Gate 1: CityLife Park;
- Gate 2: Viale Eginardo.
The venue is served by several metro and rail stations. Allianz MiCo lists Portello on the M5 line as approximately 50 meters from its main entrances, Domodossola as approximately 600 meters away and Tre Torri as approximately 700 meters away. Amendola on the M1 line is also around 700 meters from the convention center.
From Milano Centrale, one practical route is to take the M3 to Zara and change to the M5 toward San Siro Stadio, getting off at Portello. Always check which gate is being used on the day, because the nearest stop can depend on the entrance and the part of the large convention complex you need.
If you are arriving by air, our guides explain the main options from Linate Airport to central Milan and from Malpensa Airport to Milan. From Malpensa, the venue suggests taking the Malpensa Express to Cadorna and continuing by local train to Domodossola, or using the metro.
Drivers are advised by the organizer to use Parcheggio CityLife, entering through Cassiodoro or Arduino and taking the pedestrian exit at Piazza Tre Torri. Public transport is usually simpler for visitors staying in central Milan.
The venue describes Allianz MiCo as barrier-free. Attendees who need a specific service should request it during registration and confirm arrangements with the organizer in advance.
Should You Plan a Milan Trip Around the Event?
If you are an eligible founder, investor, executive, researcher or media professional, CES Unveiled Milan can be a strong reason to schedule a business trip. The single-day format makes it easier to combine the event with meetings elsewhere in the city, but registration approval should come before nonrefundable travel bookings.
If you are visiting Milan purely for leisure, do not build your itinerary around entering the show. You can still stay in CityLife, explore Milan’s contemporary architecture and enjoy the city, but the event itself is not a tourist attraction. Our guide to CityLife Milan covers the neighborhood surrounding the venue, while the Milan events calendar can help you find public activities during your trip.
