Throughout 2025, the low-cost airline Wizz Air — which has been promoting sports for over a decade through sponsorships of running events — is launching a special challenge for non-professional runners, offering the chance to compete in various stages across Europe.

How the WIZZ Run Series Works
The concept is simple yet exciting. Any amateur runner aged 18 or older, not affiliated with any sports association, can register to participate in up to nine already confirmed races in the 2025 calendar — more may be added, if Wizz Air announces new partnerships.
You earn 1 point for every kilometer you run. At the end of the year, the top three men and top three women with the most points will be crowned the winners.
To validate your participation in each race, just fill out a brief form and upload the completion certificate provided by the local organizer. This step is essential to ensure your kilometers are correctly tallied.
Destinations and Unmissable Dates
The WIZZ Run Series kicks off in April 2025 with simultaneous races in Milan (Italy) and Cluj-Napoca (Romania).

In May, it’s London’s turn (Hackney), followed by other major cities like Warsaw, Budapest, Skopje, Sofia, and Rome in the second half of the year.
Finally, the circuit officially wraps up in Venice with the Venicemarathon in October, unless a new Wizz Air-sponsored stage appears in the meantime.
The winners are expected to be announced in early December 2025.
Even if it’s impossible to participate in all the events due to potential date overlaps, the idea is for each runner to map out their own route. This way, each race becomes both a sporting endeavor and a travel adventure, made more convenient by the possibility of flying Wizz Air between destinations.
Prizes and Anticipation for Season’s End
Beyond the motivation and health benefits that running provides, the WIZZ Run Series 2025 features very attractive prizes. The top three male and female runners with the highest scores will receive: 1st place: Two AYCF (All You Can Fly) passes, valid for one year. 2nd place: €1,000 in WIZZ credits. 3rd place: €800 in WIZZ credits.
